Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance & repair skills to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
• Preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry; ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Attention to detail, time management, and documentation skills; experience with maintenance work order systems.
• Ability to work on-site, respond to occasional after-hours emergencies, and lift/carry or stand for extended periods.

Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC. This role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and residential units to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing work orders, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating with property management and residents to schedule and document repairs. The Maintenance Technician also assists with unit turns, inspections, and upkeep of common areas, while adhering to safety standards and Towne Properties’ quality expectations.
