Job summary

H-E Parts International seeks a Maintenance/Facilities Support role to handle building and equipment maintenance and repairs at the Princeton, WV facility. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, assisting with TPM rollout, and supporting various equipment maintenance needs across the site.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• At least one year of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of all tasks and wear PPE as required.
• Research, coordinate, and execute repair and maintenance tasks.
• Serve as main contact for vendors and service support for operations and repairs.
• Contribute to maintenance scheduling program and TPM implementation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance group and Manufacturing Manager to prioritize jobs.
• Provide maintenance and support for equipment and facilities including repairs and inspections.
• Perform routine inspections on cranes, hoists, HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
• Assist in waste removal and site cleanliness.
• Operate floor scrubber to maintain production aisles.
• Maintain material-handling equipment with pre-use inspections.
• Support other duties as directed by supervision or management.
• Assist with miscellaneous needs such as material movement and shop organization.

Position Summary

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is a support role for the entire facility with the main focus on building and equipment maintenance and repair.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.

2. Research, coordinate, execute repair and maintenance tasks.

3. Act as main point of contact for vendors, suppliers, service support for operation and repair needs.

4. Continue development of maintenance scheduling program and assist in the implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program.

5. Work with Maintenance group and Manufacturing Manager for prioritization of job.

6. Provide maintenance and support for various equipment and facility needs which may include repairs, preventative maintenance, inspection and cleaning tasks.

7. Maintenance tasks include small air / electric power tools, lighting, machining equipment such as lathes and mills, welding units, parts washers, turntables, forklifts, small motor repairs, basic building maintenance, etc.

8. Perform routine inspection of cranes, hoists, lifting straps, chains and fixtures, air compressors, electrical outlets and cords, HVAC filters and unit condition, etc.

9. Assist in the collection and removal of waste material, metal scrap and garbage from facility and place in proper disposal areas.

10. Operate floor scrubber to help maintain cleanliness of main production aisles.

11. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.

12. Performs safe operation of forklifts, overhead cranes and lifting devices.

13. Assists when needed with other miscellaneous needs including but not limited to material and parts movement, shop area organization, etc.

14. May assist with other duties as directed by supervision or management.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• At least one year work experience or equivalent education in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50# is required.
