Trillium Staffing is seeking Maintenance Technicians for a direct hire opportunity in Portage, WI. 1st and 2nd shift available. Starting wage is $30-35 DOE or more if qualified.

Responsibilities include reading descriptive duties related to preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing robotics, PLCs, and electrical systems, and collaborating to ensure equipment reliability. Training on PLC programming and robot controllers may be provided.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of robotics and PLC control systems.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and diagrams.

  • Prepare and maintain repair logs and training for coworkers.

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Maintenance Technicians for a direct hire opportunity in Portage, WI! 1st and 2nd shift available. Starting wage is $30-35 DOE or more if qualified.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The ability to read and understand descriptive job duties pertaining to preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Operate, diagnose, and repair support systems such as refrigeration, HVAC, vacuum and air compressors.
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors and positions sensing devices.
  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards; replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
  • Pushes buttons and presses keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery, such as robots, to operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
  • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Operate and repair metal fabricating equipment such as lathes, mills, welders, and cutting tools.
  • Direct and assist co-workers in installing, diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance of robotics.
  • Create and modify programs of PLC, robots, and related equipment such as VFDs, Eurotherms and other programmable controllers.
  • Recommend and perform measures to improve equipment quality and performance.
  • Interprets blueprints, equipment specifications, and job orders to co-workers and self.
  • Requisitions of spare parts, such as electronic components and equipment parts.
  • Set up and maintain equipment repair logs, blueprints, and repair manuals.
  • Set up and perform training for co-workers on maintaining and repairing equipment.
Qualifications
  • Certificate from college or technical school; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of robotics, PLC controllers, necessary.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
