Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative and general maintenance on equipment and facilities. You will install, repair, and maintain according to machine manuals, prints, or building codes.

This role requires 3–6 years of experience, knowledge of motors, engines, electrical systems, pneumatics, and PLCs, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork. On-call availability and occasional travel are expected; on-site work with potential training of others.

Qualifications

Job Summary

• Performs preventative and general maintenance on equipment and facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, installs, repairs, and maintains in accordance with machine manuals, prints, or by referral to building codes:
• Physical structures.
• Electrical wiring.
• Plumbing and fixtures.
• Includes motor and engine, CNC, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC.
• Assists higher-level maintenance.
• Assure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken.
• Responsible for facility and ground maintenance.
• Expected to be on call.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
• Occasional use of personal vehicle may be needed for pickup/delivery of machine parts.
• Other maintenance and facilities duties as assigned.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum High School or GED

Experience

• 3-6 years

• Must have skills in motor and engine, single and 3-phase electric, pneumatic equipment, PLCs, and general mechanical aptitude.
• Must have computer literacy skills.
• Strong initiative required to accomplish departmental and corporate objectives.
