Axia Residential's The Blakely in Pendergrass, GA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. You will complete resident work orders, prepare apartments for new residents, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance tasks, and help maintain a safe, welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, flooring and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Prepare vacant apartments with quality make-readies on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring and more.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain appearance and functionality of common areas and amenities.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and on-call rotation.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to prioritize work.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service while building relationships with residents and team.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in preserving the appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. Responsibilities include:

• Complete resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a customer-first attitude.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes by completing quality make-readies on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, and general carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to prioritize daily work and achieve team goals.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service while building positive relationships with residents and team members.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

• At least two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, flooring, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
