Job summary

SILON in Peachtree City, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our plastics production lines running smoothly on 2nd shift. You will oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with the automation and production teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of plastics maintenance experience, strong problem solving and communication skills, and a willingness to be on-call. SILON offers competitive salary, health benefits, paid holidays, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant and equipment are in top operating condition.
• Plan and organize regular maintenance on all equipment.
• Review procedures and collaborate with other operations teams.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain safe work environment and comply with regulations.
• Evaluate facility systems and implement improvements.
• Assist during equipment changes and line failures.
• Execute electrical maintenance tasks.

Job description

• Ensures all plant and equipment are in top operating conditions and are available for production as needed.
• Organizes and plans regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
• Reviews preventative procedures, evaluates and maximizes maintenance procedures collaborating with other Operation departments identifying problems and requirements.
• Selects, orients, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff.
• Supervises the activities of maintenance associates so that they are in compliance with the Company's regulations concerning safety procedures.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment. Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending and implementing changes, expansions and additions.
• Maintain all plant and production equipment
• Assist during equipment clean out for product changes
• Work closely with the systems automation engineer and production team on any line failures
• Execute the electrical part of preventive and predictive maintenance
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience within a Plastics Manufacturing setting; or any other related industry.
• Troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of Preventive & Predictive Maintenance.
• Possess excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills along with the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Must have open availability and comfort with "on-call" days.
