Job summary

Umicore Belgium is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment at our Pasadena site. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, supporting capital projects and reliability initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of maintenance experience with 5–10 years of industrial exposure. SAP experience and strong safety awareness are important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, or both).
• 5–10 years of industrial/plant experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and work order management.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on plant equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders safely and efficiently.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to improve reliability and uptime.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
• Support installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Perform alignment, lubrication, and mechanical repairs.
• Support equipment rebuilds and installations.
• Support compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
• Participate in PHAs, HAZOPs, SOP development, and safety reviews.
• Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and training documentation.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Contractors.
• Support training and skill development across the maintenance team.
• Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing across disciplines.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution
