Job summary

Dayton Superior is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, calibrate, and maintain plant equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and safe operation in a manufacturing setting.

You will inspect malfunctioning mill equipment, determine causes, perform repairs, complete required reports, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while complying with safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.

To inspect, repair, adjust, calibrate and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment in plant. Performs preventive maintenance as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must possess valid, current forklift certification.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Moderate computer skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend and twist.
• Maximum unassisted lift – 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and requires hearing protection.
• Safety shoes and eye protection are also required.
• Temperature environment 0 degrees to 110 degrees.
