Job summary

Fogelman is seeking an Experienced Certified Maintenance Technician for the Overland Park area. The role focuses on completing maintenance requests, repairs, and make-readies with a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of maintenance experience, HVAC certification, and strong skills in plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair. A valid driver’s license is required, and the position includes on-call duties and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience
  • HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal)
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred
  • Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair
  • Proficient in computers and online applications
  • Working knowledge of Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo
  • Driver's license and automobile insurance may be required

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
  • Complete make-ready units
  • Care for and inventory supplies and equipment
  • Supply personal tools for tasks
  • Maintain clean work area and tools
  • Assist in preventive maintenance projects
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Service Director
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls
  • Maintain positive communications with residents, vendors, and colleagues
  • Adhere to safety policies; work weekends if needed
  • Follow Fair Housing and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experienced Certified Maintenance Technician - On-call Stipend

Fogelman is hiring a certified Maintenance Technician for Cambridge Square, located in the Overland Park area. Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned.
  • Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
  • Responsible for supplying all personal tools.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Assists in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
  • Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.
  • Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
  • Proficient in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
  • Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
  • Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
  • Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.
