Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy in Florida is seeking an experienced maintenance technician responsible for the care and maintenance of production assets.

You will keep machinery running across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic systems by performing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment and utilities. This is a 3rd shift role with a schedule of 10 PM to 6:30 AM and rotating weekends off.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.
  • 1 year minimum experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer controlled equipment, PLC and HVAC.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, wet environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (drug, background, criminal).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.
  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to keep machinery operational across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Work a 3rd shift schedule (10 PM–6:30 AM) with rotating weekends off.

T.G. Lee Dairy has immediate job openings for skilled maintenance technician, responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets. This position ensures the continued operation of machinery and equipment in an electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic capacity by completing planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years experience required in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably food and beverage industry.
  • 1 year minimum experience with one or more technical experiences: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer controlled equipment, PLC and HVAC
  • 1 year minimum experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
  • Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
