The position requires solid mechanical aptitude, ability to read simple instructions, and experience with maintenance tools. It includes overtime and weekend work as needed, with a competitive hourly base rate and shift differential where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and construction of equipment and structures.
• Analyze electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff’s Law.
• Safely use multi-meters and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform welding operations following safety and quality standards.
• Maintain records on all equipment.

Maintenance Technician Afternoons

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The position is responsible for monitoring and adjusting equipment throughout the department.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors equipment for proper operation and makes necessary adjustments and repairs to maximize the efficiency of the equipment.
• Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor and/or lead person.
• Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
• Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Assists maintenance department in troubleshooting, repair, modification and construction of equipment and structure as needed including initiating work orders.
• Analyse and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff’s Law.
• Safely use multi-meters and other diagnostic tools
• Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
• Interpret welding symbols and apply appropriate techniques for repairs and fabrication.
• Maintains proper records on all equipment.
• Flexibility required as overtime and weekend work occur and may be required.
• Gathers feedback from production team members on a regular basis on how the equipment, workstations, and product flow is functioning.

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyse, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.
• Ability to pass hands on maintenance assessment

• Schedule: Nights: Sunday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm; Weekends: Friday 10:00 am - 10:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am - 8:30 pm, Afternoons: Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm every other week, Sunday – Thursday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm every other week.
