Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.

Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Pedricktown, NJ, responsible for supporting safe, efficient operation of production and facility equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs on processing and facility systems. The role involves executing preventive maintenance schedules, documenting work performed, and collaborating with operations to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. The Maintenance Technician will respond to maintenance requests, assist in equipment installations and upgrades, and follow safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance standards. The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams, maintaining an organized work area, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for production and facility systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Candidates should possess experience with Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Candidates should possess Industrial Maintenance skills, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Relevant experience with packaging, refrigeration, and processing equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to use standard hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and cleanliness; familiarity with OSHA and food safety standards is preferred.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or electricity is a plus.
