Job summary

The Shores in Ocean City, NJ, part of United Methodist Communities, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep resident homes safe, comfortable, and functioning. Choose from three shifts and enjoy a short walk to the beach.

You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems, perform preventive maintenance, maintain service records, and help create a welcoming environment across the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to read work orders, safety labels, and equipment instructions in English.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Flu vaccine (medical and religious exemptions available).
• Hands-on repair experience in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems to keep our community running smoothly.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and team members, delivering timely, high-quality service.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to help ensure equipment and facilities remain safe and reliable.
• Accurately maintain service records, inspections, and maintenance documentation.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to support daily maintenance operations.
• Help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout resident apartments and community spaces.

Maintenance Technician

Choose your shift: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm. Full-time at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ, a short walk from the beach and boardwalk. $17.49 to $18.65 per hour.

The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community at 2201 Bay Avenue, is home to residents in independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehab. What you'll do

Schedule

• Full-time. Pick one of three set shifts: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm
• Monday through Friday, plus every other weekend
• Holidays covered on a rotation
