Job summary

ALS USA Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician in North Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on performing repairs and preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment, including HVAC units, blowers, scrubbers, jaw crushers and ring mills.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work under general supervision, and good communication skills in English. Experience with metal fabrication and basic welding is beneficial, with forklift experience viewed as an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have a Grade 12 diploma and hands-on experience with building repairs and operations.
• Experience with electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatics, carpentry, drywall and/or painting is advantageous.
• Forklift experience will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building and equipment.
• Maintain equipment such as heating and air conditioning units, blowers, scrubbers, jaw crushers and ring mills.
• Handle light plumbing, carpentry, welding and general building upkeep.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and logs.

General Accountability: As the Maintenance Technician this role will consist primarily of performing repairs and maintenance to the building and equipment.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as heating and a/c units, blowers, scrubbers
• jaw crusher, and ring mills
• General building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles and painting
• Light plumbing and carpentry work
• Welding
• Work with contractors and/or suppliers
• Be available for on-call projects
• Must possess a valid driver’s license to go on errands for the department
• Must pick-up, transport and purchase building materials and maintenance items
• Assists with maintaining all log books and maintenance records/schedules
• Other duties as assigned.
