Job description

Specialty Operations business unit is accepting online applications for the position Maintenance Technicianlocated in Newton, Iowathrough October 22nd, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with performing the maintenance of all equipment in the factory, identifying and ordering spare parts, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant, and improving the reliability of the plant. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Responsibilities for this position may include but is not limited to:

Maintain the Plant

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks
• Support predictive maintenance practices
• Perform Corrective maintenance
• Perform failure analysis and implement improvements
• Update and maintain the CMMS information for the plant
• Enter work order information into the CMMS
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instruments
• Troubleshoot and repair Motor Control Centers

Operate Utility systems

• Boilers
• Air compressors
• Water Treatment systems

• Operate equipment such as skid steers, fork truck, man lift, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver's license
• 2-year associates degree on Industrial technology, Instrumentation Technician, Industrial technician or equivalent
• 2-5 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a process plant or production environment experience in biofuels, petrochemical or agricultural sectors preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to provide technical expertise as required
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner to meet deadlines
• Work independently or with others as a team to complete assigned projects
• Awareness of new technical developments and ability of applying new knowledge to the processes in place at REG
• Basic computer skills including excel, word, and outlook
• Strong technical background

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

• Instrumentation and/or controls
• Centrifugal pump operation and maintenance
• Millwright or mechanic training
• Welding skills or Certification
• Cause analysis
• Relocation will not be eligible
• International assignments
