Job summary

Flagship Communities is seeking a hardworking Maintenance Technician to support a manufactured home community. Responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing and electrical work, and landscaping, performed autonomously with safety in mind.

The successful candidate will work under the Community Manager, performing repairs and upkeep to ensure resident satisfaction and property standards are upheld. A high school diploma and basic maintenance skills are required; CMRP is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs.
• Perform manual repairs such as locks and windows.
• Undertake pest control tasks as needed.
• Conduct general upkeep and landscaping to keep grounds in top condition.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
• Mow, weed eat and hedge trim; perform maintenance on equipment.

Maintenance Technician (Manufactured Home Community)

Must have property and/or building maintenance experience.

Summary of Position

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work and landscaping etc. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines and take pride in the standards and services they deliver to our residents

INTERNAL REPORTING RELATIONSHIP(S)

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
• Keeping grounds and landscaping in tip-top shape
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
• Mowing, weed eating and hedge trimming (also includes performing preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.

Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team

Strong work ethic and organizational skills

Puts high value on doing a good job and self-supervisory skills.

• Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
