Job summary

Flying Food Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our EWR/ZEW Unit to maintain building systems and industrial equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with air handling units, plumbing, steam fitting, fire systems, conveyors, and 480V electrical work, plus the ability to read wiring schematics and perform high/low voltage repairs with minimal supervision.

On-call availability, weekends/holidays, and safety compliance with CMMS and parts/labor bookings are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing trades.
• Experience with 480-volt three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to read wiring schematics and troubleshoot building systems.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Journeyman electrical license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, air handling units, and fire systems.
• Respond to on-call emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain and update CMMS records and parts/labor bookings.

Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with experience at our EWR/ZEW Unit.

• Requires experience in related building equipment and trades, such as air handling units, plumbing and steam fitting, fire systems, and conveyors.
• Experience with Commercial Appliances Repairs and Maintenance.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of general building maintenance with emphasis on electrical solving, including AC & DC circuits, high voltage (480), high amperage.
• Requires experience in industrial wiring and the ability to read and follow wiring schematics and work without supervision
• Journeyman electrical license a plus
• Requires the ability to make low and high voltage repairs to all building electrical equipment
• This includes solving, installation and repair of 110/220/480 volt single and multiphase electrical circuitry and devices.
• Motor, gearbox, belt, pneumatic, hydraulic, sensor troubleshooting/replacement/repair.
• Facilities Technicians must be available for on call emergencies that happen off hours, including weekends and holidays

• 3 Years experience required in at least three of the following areas:
  Electrical (including 480 volt, 3 phase)
  HVAC
  Mechanical
  Plumbing
  Must have completed high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  Ability to maintain and repair all building disciplines, heavy mechanical and welding
  Must be able to climb and work from ladders, and/or walk for extended periods
  Must possess sufficient tooling to perform required tasks
  Strong computer/tablet experience for input and retrieval of data
  Experience with CMMS, booking parts, and booking labor
  Knowledgeable in LOTO and embraces safety best practices
  Demonstrates subject‑matter expertise on Material Handling Equipment
  Understand overall equipment effectiveness and equipment performance metrics
