Workstrings International in Broussard, LA, seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of facility and equipment through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot failures, perform preventive programs, manage spare parts, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime, while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Formación

• Read electrical and plumbing schematics.
• Set up a safe and productive workflow.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures using tools and technical documentation.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and update records accordingly.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, valves, belts, and bearings.
• Respond to urgent breakdowns and conduct safety checks before restarting operations.
• Collaborate with production or operations teams to minimize disruption.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and submit requests for replenishment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and company policies.
• Maintains a safe & productive workplace.
• Troubleshoots and/or repairs facility, operational and portable equipment as defined by the Company.
• Completes necessary documentation associated with the equipment maintenance program processes.
• Control inventory and order shop supplies according to Company procedures.
• Proposes recommendations to improve the equipment maintenance program processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Technical Skills:

• Operates forklift and overhead crane
• Knowledge of AWS standards preferred
