Job summary

OnPath FCU in Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities safe, functional and well-maintained across locations. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs and preventive upkeep, coordinating with other departments to support our member-focused service.

The role requires 2-5 years of related experience, a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Class C driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Inspect and replace HVAC filters, identify and repair leaks, and perform seasonal tasks such as pressure washing.

OnPath is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The salary range for this position is $18.25 to $22.81 per hour based on skills and experience. This position is classified as On-site.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep across all company facilities. This role ensures that each location remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine building maintenance at all company locations according to schedules and checklists.
• Conduct preventative maintenance using prescribed procedures and documentation.

EXPERIENCE

2-5 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Physical Requirements

Work requires moderate physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outdoors in cold, wet or warm conditions.

Mental Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
