Maintenance/Utility Technician-
Monday-Sunday 6:30am-7pm or 6:30pm-7am rotating schedule with every other weekend required

Position Purpose
The Utility position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned machines are properly supplied with raw materials to support continuous production. This role also involves maintaining equipment in accordance with LEAN principles and ensuring that work centers remain clean and organized. The Utility is integral to production and works closely with the Supervisor to monitor and maintain auxiliary equipment, blenders, grinders, and other machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain raw materials necessary for production; scan materials from the Pull Staging area to specific Work Orders when required.
- Notify the Warehouse Technician if any materials are missing from the Pull Staging area.
- Review production lines and ensure upcoming changeovers and startups are adequately supplied in advance.
- Assist the Setup team with auxiliary equipment setups when needed.
- Monitor blenders, grinders, and raw materials to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Complete line clearances according to the Line Clearance process.
- Ensure finished goods are moved from Work Centers to Shrink Wrappers and scanned to the appropriate FG STAGING area.
- Follow packaging requirements as outlined in the Playbooks, ensuring proper use of corner posts, pallet sizes, and wraps.
- Ensure all finished goods are correctly labeled with pallet and carton labels.
- Monitor materials and inventory to ensure proper location and quantity on the production floor.
- Maintain Daily Housekeeping and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
- Relieve breaks for IPs as required.
- Work closely with Process Technicians and Process Engineers to learn and improve processes.
Education, Certifications, and Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, specifically with blow molding machines and processes.
- Proficiency with barcode scanners, pallet jacks, blenders, grinders, and tape guns.
- Knowledge of GMP, Lean principles, FIFO, and other best manufacturing practices.
- Understanding of production materials and processes specific to manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

- Frequent standing, walking, and manual lifting in a manufacturing environment.

- Vision requirements include close vision and vision for task accuracy.
