Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Village Residences in Mountain View. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on customer service.

Associate duties include on-site work, weekend availability, and collaborating with a team to keep residential communities safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Customer service minded with attention to detail and accountability.
• Experience or certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license depending on property needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, and replacements as needed.
• Repair and replace plumbing components; install sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.
• Handle carpentry tasks: doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
• Paint drywall/plaster, touch-up and prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Electrical work: lighting, wiring, switches, and related tasks; operate machinery for maintenance.
• Maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans and other equipment; provide general maintenance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents.

Requirements

• The Maintenance Technician required and preferred qualifications within the apartment community:
• 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
• Preferred certifications for this position include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
• This position may require a valid driver's license depending on the needs of the property.
• Required skills: self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
• May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
• Computer and smart phone literacy required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities. Multilingual skills are a plus.

Commensurate with Experience $ 24.08 - 33.72 hourly
