Job summary

100KCrossing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing, and other warehouse equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, while ensuring safety standards and accurate record-keeping.

The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Respirator fit testing and OSHA compliance required.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
  • Trade certificate preferred; forklift experience beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and related controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including pumps, motors, and compressors.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical systems: lighting, panels, outlets, and wiring.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
  • Conduct general building maintenance: plumbing, carpentry, painting.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders via computer systems.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safety policies are followed.
  • Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
  • Follow SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

Job description

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all warehouse systems. This includes troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general equipment. The technician will conduct regular inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure all systems are functioning properly to minimize downtime. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, documentation of maintenance activities, and collaboration with external contractors as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, refrigeration, rooftop units, and associated controls
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, compressors, ovens, cooling systems and related equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including lighting, panels, outlets, motors, switches, and basic control wiring
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, carpentry, painting, and minor construction
  • Computer skills required to maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and company safety policies
  • Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations
  • Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards
  • Adhere to company health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently managing time and resources to minimize disruptions to warehouse operations and production
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Team
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Must be able to pass required respirator fit testing and remain clean-shaven in areas where a tight-fitting respirator seals to the face, in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Must be able to wear a tight-fitting respirator for the duration of the assigned shift, as required by the position.
  • Successfully complete all applicable respiratory protection requirements, including a medical evaluation and respirator fit testing.
  • Complete annual fit testing, with additional medical evaluations as required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in maintenance, with expertise in machinery, HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems
  • Community college or trade school certification (preferred)
  • HVAC experience (preferred)
  • Experience using hand tools, electrical tools, and machinery
  • Proficient in operating sit-down forklifts
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience with control systems (e.g., VFD’s, PLC’s)
  • Excellent customer service skills with an approachable and professional demeanor
  • Flexibility and responsiveness, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and high standards
  • Must be able to pass required respirator fit testing and remain clean-shaven where a tight-fitting respirator seals to the face, in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Hours of Operation

1st Shift 7:00 am– 4:00 pm and 2nd Shift 4:00 pm - 1:00 am ; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, overtime, and holidays as scheduled by leadership.

  • Wearing required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective footwear, respirators, or other designated PPE
  • Using close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus when required by the position
