Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems.

You will diagnose issues to minimize downtime, read schematics and work orders, use hand and power tools, follow lockout/tag-out and safety procedures, perform preventive maintenance, and operate at elevated platforms when needed.

• Candidate must pass Amatrol Skills Assessment.
• Willingness to learn a wide range of tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment, following lockout/tag-out procedures and safety regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure proper adjustments or repairs.
• Operate from elevated platforms and mobile lift equipment as needed.
• Report defective materials, faulty operations, or unusual situations to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance systems and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
• Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
