Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Monroe, GA to maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment. The role involves diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo systems, reading schematics, and supporting automation upgrades.

You will use diagnostics tools and CMMS to manage work orders and ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting of 480VAC and 24VDC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Experience troubleshooting VFDs, servos, single-phase and three-phase motors.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI systems.
• Replace and rebuild pumps; repair hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, sensors, robotics, and communication networks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair bag machinery and support equipment.
• Report machine defects that cannot be corrected to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist fellow mechanics and production employees as needed.
• Work overtime when required to restore equipment and support production.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC circuits.
• Troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, motors, sensors, encoders, relays, and safety circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
• Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
• Support equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders using CMMS software.
• Follow OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.

Compensation

• Starting Pay Rate: $24 - $30/hour - depending on experience.
• $2/hour shift differential for night shift.
• Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours.

D Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am, Friday - Sunday

Overview
