Job summary

Brunswick’s Integrated Manufacturing Center in Merritt Island, FL, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance across mechanical trades including HVAC, electrical, hydraulics, and resin/gel systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service forklifts and other industrial equipment, prioritizing safety and reliability in a dynamic, hands‑on environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of facility maintenance, blueprint reading, and forklift/high‑lift certification.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years facility maintenance experience preferred, including repair of pneumatic and fluid pump spray equipment.
  • Experience with Magnum-Venus spray systems is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background; reading blueprints a must.
  • forklift and high lift certification required.
  • Able to read measurements and use common hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and repair mechanical problems with focus on HVAC, electrical, and resin/gel spray systems.
  • Repair and maintain forklifts, cranes, hoists and other industrial equipment.
  • Fabricate wood and steel items as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, and lighting circuits.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and timely completion per schedules.
  • Work across multiple areas with high mobility inside the facility.
  • Follow safety policies, identify hazards, and use PPE as required.
  • Typical schedule is four 10-hour days or equivalent.

Brunswick’s Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC), located in Merritt Island, Florida, supports the growth and development of Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and other Brunswick boat brands. This location, formally a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility, centralizes Brunswick’s vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient, cost effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands.

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

The Maintenance Technician role performs routine maintenance in a large multi-building manufacturing and services facility. Maintenance tasks performed are in a variety of skilled trades areas (welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, HVAC, tool and die repair, etc.). Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair, including, but not limited to resin and gel equipment.

Job Duties
  • Analyzing and repair of mechanical problems. Primary focus will be on HVAC systems, electrical installation/repair, and maintenance/repair of resin and gel spray systems
  • Repair and maintenance of forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other industrial equipment
  • Fabrication of wood and steel items
  • Troubling shooting and repair of electrical systems including motor controls, heating & cooling systems, and lighting circuits
  • Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic, requiring high levels of customer service and attention to detail.
  • Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.
  • Compliance to safety policies and procedures is required, as well as identifying risks and hazards prior to job completion.
  • Requires high foot travel and working throughout the facility. Lifting overhead within prescribed safety limitations. Working at heights: ladders, rooftops, booms and lifts, work platforms, etc. Working outside in all possible weather conditions. Overall good physical condition and agility.
  • Work hours: typically, 4 days per week at 10 hours per day or 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily, but times will be adjusted as demands require. Weekend work is scheduled according to workload and as repair needs dictate.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Three – five (3-5) years facility maintenance experience preferred including one-year experience repairing pneumatic and fluid pump spray equipment.
  • Experience with Magnum-Venus internal and external spray systems a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background and experience. Additional experience in electrical motor controls and programming a strong plus.
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematics and building to specifications.
  • Will be required to be certified in forklift and high lift (genie boom) operations
  • Requires high foot travel and working throughout the facility. Lifting overhead within prescribed safety limitations. Working at heights: ladders; rooftops; booms & lifts; work platforms; etc. Working in various manufacturing work environments and working outside through all possible weather conditions.
  • Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual.
  • Ability to read measurement devices, including OHM/voltage meters, measuring tapes, calipers, various equipment gauges as required.
  • Ability to use MS-0ffice & other online resources
  • Typically, four (4) days per week at 10 hours per day, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Thursday with Friday and weekend overtime as required.
Safety Requirements
  • Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
  • Must be able to physically perform the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.22 to $25.80, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
