Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Merrill, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical systems in a major window and door manufacturing facility. The role includes troubleshooting, installation, and programming assistance for motion control, PLC, MMI, and HMI systems.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting with mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with Motion Control, PLC, MMI, and HMI programming and repair.

Responsibilities

• Run, maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Assist with Motion Control, PLC, MMI, and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Install electrical components such as conduit, wiring, motor controls, starters, VFD, and soft starts.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunction, replace parts or fabricate replacements as needed.
• Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment for efficient operation.
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift.
• Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed.
• Rig, lift, and move heavy equipment.
• Perform general maintenance safely and keep a clean work area.
• Work may consist of various tasks as required.

About The Position
