Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $33.00/hr

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at a chemical processing facility. This role is responsible for performing reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, and chemical handling equipment
• Replace and maintain electrical components (fuses, breakers, soft starts, VFDs, etc.)
• Install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical valves
• Service and install both electronic and mechanical instrumentation
• Cut, thread, and fit piping systems
• Perform welding, plumbing, and basic pipefitting tasks
• Interpret and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
• Perform motor wiring and basic electrical installations (up to 480V)
• Operate a variety of tools, including hand, pneumatic, and welding equipment
• Safely operate forklifts, man-lifts, and mobile equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete safety training and incident reports as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Training (Preferred):

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance or a related field preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, valves, and instrumentation
• Familiarity with PLC systems and plant automation
• Solid experience with electrical systems and control circuitry
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical domains
• Must be available for rotating shifts, including weekends and emergency call-ins
• Must be able to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks safely
