Job Description:

AFINITAS, a local Mediapolis, IA company, is HIRING a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician!

2nd Shift Hours: 2:45 pm - 12:45 am, Monday-Thursday, with a $2/hour shift differential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Monthly PMs (Crane and other equipment)
• Focus on crane repairs and inspections
• Handle all emergency breakdowns on 2nd shift
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical motors and three-phase controls
• Work with electric motors, conveying systems, pneumatic devices, and electrical controls
• Operate manufacturing and shop equipment
• Communicate with 1st shift via daily emails and CMMS maintenance software
• Perform any other assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in/on scissor lifts and boom lifts up to 35’
• Experience with industrial cranes and crane controls
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklift repair, MIG welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, general building maintenance, and basic CNC troubleshooting
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical blueprints
• Adherence to safety requirements
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
• Proficiency with PCs, networking, and Windows-based software
• Operate CMMS software for maintenance tracking
• Good housekeeping and safety habits
• Take pride in work quality
• Meet deadlines and be available for overtime
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to assist in other areas as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Manufacturing environment involving industrial machinery and chemicals. PPE required as per location standards.
