Kennesaw State University is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support general, HVAC, electric, and plumbing tasks on campus. You will follow safety guidelines while assisting skilled technicians and performing routine maintenance across facilities.
The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with prior maintenance experience. The Marietta campus offers a collaborative work environment and opportunities to develop practical skills.

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Assists in the performance of general, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.
High School diploma or equivalent
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Previous related maintenance experience
Undergraduate or Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to build upon existing knowledge in the technical application of maintenance work
Able to adapt to changing work environments
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools
Proficient in basic plumbing skills, including installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, and fixtures and effectively troubleshooting issues like leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
Skilled in basic electrical repairs, including replacing lamps, drivers, ballasts, outlets, and switches, with a foundational understanding of electrical systems and circuits.
Proficient in basic HVAC preventative maintenance
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette
