Job summary

Atlantic Pacific Companies seeks a Maintenance Technician for The Atlantic Mansfield, a 256-unit community in Mansfield, TX. You will perform routine maintenance in apartments and common areas, prepare vacant units, and support grounds and preventive maintenance.

Required: 1–2 years in apartment maintenance, EPA I/II or HVAC cert, and supervisory experience. Pool maintenance experience is a plus and experience with property management software is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1–2 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community.
• EPA I or II, Universal or HVAC certification required.
• CPO Certification is a plus and experience maintaining pools is required.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs buildings and systems across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Complete service requests/work orders within 24 hours as directed by supervisor or property manager.
• Log all assigned work orders accurately and timely.
• Prepare vacant apartments through turnover including painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning.
• Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment within the maintenance dept.
• Assist in ordering supplies for the property.
• Clean internal and external areas, wash windows.

Our Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Market Rate Apartment Community, The Atlantic Mansfield, of 256 units in Mansfield, Texas.

Job Description Summary:

The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance in individual apartments, common areas and amenity areas. Prepares vacant units for new move-ins. Performs routine preventive maintenance. Assists in various cleaning functions and assists in monitoring the grounds. Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and repairs buildings: areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Responsible for completing all service requests/ work orders at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or property manager as required within 24 hours.
• Complete apartment service tickets and log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Manage vacant apartments by preparing them through the turnover process so apartments are ready to lease to new prospects. The work includes the maintenance of the unit, painting, cleaning and carpet cleaning.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, street sweeper and other equipment used within the maintenance department.
• Assists in ordering supplies for the property.
• Cleans internal and external areas of buildings, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping, washes windows.

Requirements:

• High School diploma, or GED equivalency, and minimum of 1-2 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA I or II, Universal or HVAC certified is required.
• CPO Certification is a plus and experience maintaining pools is required.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus
