Job summary

WEG Coatings LLC in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage plant maintenance and support Operations Management. The role requires occasional overtime and weekend work and is a Hazmat Employee position, with training provided by the company.

You will perform equipment repairs, maintain building and grounds, train operators where appropriate, and work with external contractors. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and identifying cost-improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
• Experience in plant maintenance and safety procedures.
• Forklift certification.
• Brazing experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and wear a respirator.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

• Undertake plant maintenance duties to ensure a safe working environment with minimal down time.
• Maintain general building and grounds to improve overall facility.
• Handle specific equipment repairs as needed.
• Identify and bring forward cost improvement opportunities.
• Assist Operations in preparing equipment for processing.
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with internal personnel and outside contractors.
• Train operators where appropriate.

5 AM – 3 PM; Monday -Thursday; overtime on Fridays, as needed

Non-Exempt; hourly, paid bi-weekly

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician position at WEG Coatings is varied and challenging. The individual we are looking for will manage the plant maintenance functions, as well as support Operations Management. Position requires occasional overtime and weekend work. This role is a Hazmat Employee position; appropriate training will be provided by WEG Coatings LLC.
