3rd Shift, 4/5pm for an 8 or 10hr shift, Sunday - Thursday.
Job Responsibilities
The Food Processing Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of infrastructure and equipment that produces canned coffee products
Actively participates in efficient maintenance and changeover of equipment that supports the conversion of raw materials to finished goods
Maintains operating knowledge of all equipment and processing including updates to equipment or processes
Employee must be able to work in both Wichita and Manhattan facilities as needed, with reliable transportation, and the ability to work long hours as needed
Essential Job Functions
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of equipment
Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems
Read and interpret equipment manuals for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance
Perform service and maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, heaters, dryers, grinders, and conveyors
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl in tight spaces
The employee must be capable of lifting/moving up to 100 lbs
Minimum Position Qualifications
Expert attention to detail
A strong background in Maintenance with 3 to 4 years related experience
The ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams and mechanical handbooks is essential, as is the ability to roll up your sleeves and get creative when your solution isn’t in there
Should have experience and be knowledgeable in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Must have experience in production environment maintenance, with food grade production environment preferred
Ability to work well with others and fix issues in a timely manner
