Job summary

Bev Hub in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Food Processing Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance of beverage production infrastructure and equipment. You will support changeovers between runs and ensure reliable operation of the line.

Responsibilities include emergency repairs, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Reading manuals will guide daily and periodic upkeep to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance work.
• 3–4 years of experience in maintenance or industrial upkeep.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and mechanical handbooks.

Job description

Position Summary:

• The Food Processing Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of infrastructure and equipment that produces canned beverages.
• Actively participates in efficient maintenance and changeover of equipment that support the conversion of raw materials to finished goods.
• Maintains operating knowledge of all equipment and processing including updates to equipment or processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance.
• Perform service and maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, heaters, dryers, grinders, and conveyors

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Expert attention to detail
• A strong background in Maintenance with 3 to 4 years related experience
• The ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams and mechanical handbooks is essential, as is the ability to roll up your sleeves and get creative when your solution isn’t in there.
• Ability to work well with others and fix issues in a timely manner
• An ideal candidate would have some experience in all the following, preferably with major experience in at least one category: Industrial Electricity/Electronics, Pumps, Pipe Fitting/Plumbing, Machine Installation and Rigging, Conveyor Systems, HVAC Systems, Building Construction, Shop Safety.
