• Minimum of 3–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical handbooks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems creatively when manuals don’t have the answer.
• Ability to work well with others and fix issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and scheduled service on equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and maintain machinery such as motors, tools, and conveyors.
• Interpret equipment manuals for daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks.

Job description

Position Summary:

• The Food Processing Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of infrastructure and equipment that produces canned beverages.
• Actively participates in efficient maintenance and changeover of equipment that supportsthe conversion of raw materials to finishedgoods.
• Maintains operating knowledge of all equipment and processing including updates to equipment orprocesses.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance.
• Perform service and maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, heaters, dryers, grinders, and conveyors

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Expert attention to detail
• A strong background in Maintenance with 3 to 4 years related experience
• The ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams and mechanical handbooks is essential, as is the ability to roll up your sleeves and get creative when your solution isn’t in there.
• Ability to work well with others and fix issues in a timely manner
• An ideal candidate would have some experience in all the following, preferably with major experience in at least one category: Industrial Electricity/Electronics, Pumps, Pipe Fitting/Plumbing, Machine Installation and Rigging, Conveyor Systems, HVAC Systems, Building Construction, Shop Safety.
