Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation, inspection, and light maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at River Ridge in Lynchburg. This is an entry‑level role with growth opportunities in the engineering field.

You’ll join a Facility/Operations team and handle work orders, basic repairs (HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing), safety trainings, events support, and on‑call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related work experience (repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry)
• Trade school, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills
• Flexible schedule, evening, weekend and holiday shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering/facility team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Perform general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or carpentry
• Complete assigned work orders in Prism Building Engines and maintain service documentation
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions
• Work under direction of Facility Manager and other supervisors
• Participate in technical, safety and operational process training programs
• Support Marketing department for events at the property
• Support on-call or emergency response situations as applicable
• Other projects and tasks as assigned

The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and light maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. This is an entry-level position and can provide opportunities for growth in the engineering field.

You will work as part of a Facility/Operations team of 3 at a dynamic retail property in Lynchburg. River Ridge has undergone extensive remodel and redevelopment over the past several years. River Ridge continues to raise the bar, building on momentum created with strategic investments along with an evolving mix of merchants and experiences.

Schedule:

Weekly Rotating Shifts: 8 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday and 11 am – 7 pm, Tuesday through Saturday*

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Assist the engineering/facility team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Perform general maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or painting
• Complete assigned work orders in Prism Building Engines and maintains appropriate service documentation
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditionsWork closely under the direction of Facility Manager, Operations Manager, Chief Engineers and others as applicable including the property General Manager
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Support of the Marketing department for events at the property
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned
