Job Title

Maintenance Technician

Job Description Summary

Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties and facilities.

Job Description

  1. Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
  2. Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  3. Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  4. Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and perform painting on walls, piping, floors, and equipment.
  5. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations or implement cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
  7. Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests.
  8. Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance.
  9. Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment.
  10. Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
  11. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
  12. Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems.
  13. Complete all required safety training annually.
  14. Maintain a neat appearance and comply with uniform dress code when on-site.

Experience:

Physical Demands:

Employee must communicate effectively, operate office machinery, move around the workplace, and occasionally remain stationary or extend arms in any direction.

Cushman & Wakefield offers comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $32.70 per hour, depending on various factors.
