Job summary

Circle K is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to service and repair production equipment in our Kentucky facility. The role requires performing preventive and unscheduled maintenance, ordering parts, and coordinating with vendors.

You will also maintain building grounds and adhere to GMP, USDA/FDA and OSHA guidelines. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, knowledge of PLCs, and the ability to read manuals and machine specs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two-year degree or completion of a program in mechanical or industrial maintenance a plus.
• 5+ years’ manufacturing experience with strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of machine repair, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and janitorial skills.
• Familiar with hand and power tools to perform these skills.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Able to comprehend verbal instructions and read machine specs, manuals and product labels.
• Reliable and dependable; available to work Monday–Friday; some weekend work as directed by management.
• Motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

• Perform regular preventative and unscheduled/emergency maintenance on a variety of equipment associated with the production area.
• Keep equipment parts inventory list, order replacement parts as necessary.
• Detect and notify the Production Supervisor or Production Manager of questionable conditions and/or equipment that is not working properly.
• Work with outside vendors as necessary.
• Perform maintenance of building and grounds as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
