JL GRAY COMPANY INC. is seeking a dependable maintenance professional to keep facilities, equipment, and systems operating safely and efficiently at our Los Alamos site in New Mexico.

You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and support preventive maintenance efforts across the site. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, pays attention to detail, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or a related field.
• Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, tools, and building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders accurately.
• Identify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, and potential hazards.
• Assist with installation, assembly, relocation, and setup of equipment or fixtures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Document completed work, parts used, and any follow-up needs.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal team members as needed.
• Support emergency repairs and on-call needs when required.

• Comfort working independently and managing multiple tasks
• Physical ability to lift, move, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the role

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs or work order systems
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA or other safety standards
