Job summary

Ferncliff is seeking a facility maintenance technician in Little Rock, AR to join the operations/maintenance team. The role focuses on monitoring and maintaining safety systems, lighting, water heaters, and HVAC, along with basic repairs and equipment upkeep.

Candidates should have maintenance, construction and renovation experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to manage a proactive maintenance plan. Weekend hours may be required, and pest control tasks are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain smoke detectors, lighting, hot water heaters, HVAC systems.
• Make facility repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and equipment repair.
• Maintain organized facility areas with adequate equipment and supply inventories.
• Monitor Ferncliff facilities for pests and implement precautionary measures to keep pest free.
• Coordinate daily duties with operations/maintenance staff and supervise volunteers when needed.

Job description

Ferncliff is seeking a facility maintenance technician to begin working as soon as possible. The maintenance tech will work alongside the operations/maintenance staff, with special attention to the coordination of daily duties such as monitoring and maintain smoke detectors, lighting, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, etc.

Make facility repairs as necessary including basic plumbing, basic carpentry, basic electrical, painting, and equipment repair.

Maintain organized facility areas with adequate equipment and supply inventories.

Monitor Ferncliff facilities for pests and implement precautionary measures to keep Ferncliff pest free.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in maintenance, construction and renovation
• Basic lighting and electrical skills
• Painting experience
• Basic carpentry skills
• Ability to develop a proactive facility maintenance plan
• Experience organizing facility equipment and supplies
• Ability to work as part of a maintenance team and cross train as necessary
• Pest control and HVAC experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work with and supervise volunteers
• Commitment to sustainable practices (reduce, reuse, recycle)
• Ability to work weekends and non-business hours when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with grounds equipment preferred.
• Enjoys working outdoors and the ability to work in the heat and lift 50 pounds.
• 18 years of age or older and driver’s license required.
• Experience and skills related to carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and automotive or small engine repair all a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
