Job summary

Senior Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help maintain building and grounds, respond to work orders, and prepare units for move-in. You will report to the Director of Maintenance and support residents with quality service.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and may accept 1–3 months of related experience. You must follow safety procedures, attend trainings, and work in a team to keep facilities in top condition.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident work orders and ensure quality service to residents.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in as assigned.
  • Perform maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
  • Know and follow emergency, safety, and disaster plans.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain safe work areas.
  • Maintain offices, shops, and storage areas to standards.
  • Attend trainings and staff meetings; may provide limited transportation for residents.
  • Uphold professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and coworkers.

Job description

Position Summary

Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance.

Essential Functions
  • Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
  • Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
  • Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment, repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
  • Responds promptly to emergencies.
  • Maintains office, shops, storage, mechanical areas to SSMG standards.
  • Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • May provide transportation services for residents.
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
