Job summary

Court at Round Rock is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the building and grounds, respond to resident work orders, and support move-in readiness. This position reports to the Maintenance Director or Plant Operations Director and requires a proactive approach to safety and resident service.

• Prepares apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Handles general maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outdoor landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures; responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage, mechanical areas to standards; attends required training and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Maintains a safe working environment and preser vation of equipment with safe practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment, repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage, mechanical areas to SSMG standards. '
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
