**Maintenance Technician Summary:**
The Machine Maintenance Technician uses skills in reading blueprints and problem solving, performs repairs, and ensures timely maintenance of various types of machinery in a large print facility. Tracks trends and monitors gauges and other equipment to ensure maximum uptime on machines. Follows safe work practices and conducts self in a professional manner with vendors, contractors, and other employees.

**Position Responsibilities:**

  1. Service, repair, adjust, and test equipment that operate based on mechanical and electronic principles.
  2. Conduct regular tests and inspections of machines and processes to evaluate quality and performance.
  3. Inspect equipment, structures, circuits, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  4. Identify issues by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  5. Observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources, including machine operators and service contract providers.
  6. Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
  7. Maintain a scheduled maintenance routine on each machine and teach operators how to care for the equipment.
  8. Update internal tracking systems and maintain internal WIKI pages on machines.

**Basic Qualifications:**

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2-year technical certificate preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of experience maintaining small- and large-scale production machinery preferred.
  3. Strong electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical systems.
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.
  5. Ability to fabricate or modify parts using various tools and equipment.
  6. Experience working with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  7. Experience in a production environment, preferably print.
