Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to inspect, diagnose, and repair automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, and related systems throughout the facility in Las Vegas.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, calibration, and parts replacement to minimize downtime, while maintaining CMMS records and collaborating with engineers to optimize performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a highly automated environment such as a distribution center or manufacturing facility.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex machinery and equipment, including conveyors, robotics, PLCs, and automated storage systems.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and tools, and the ability to perform routine inspections and repairs on a variety of equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under time constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with team members and other departments.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance situations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, and related equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication, calibration, and parts replacement to minimize downtime.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize automated systems and drive process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, logs, and inventory.
  • Add PM tasks and parts into the CMMS system.
  • Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations; ensure a safe work environment.
  • Assist in training new technicians and operators on operation and maintenance of automated systems.
  • Support Facility Management in ensuring equipment performance, spare part availability, and design improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advise on system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Keep warehouse clean and safe, working to improve safety at the facility.

  • Coordinate to maintain a clean work environment inside/outside the warehouse. Working safely and continually finding ways to improve safety at the facility, following the safety regulations by the company and OSHA.
  • Issues effective and efficient resolution through communication, analytical, projected, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work and troubleshoot (240VAC), (480VAC) and low voltage electrical systems.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,740 USD - $82,368 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
