Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will load/unload freight, move products to storage, and verify both physical and electronic movements.

You will operate a forklift, maintain logs, and support scrap conversions and packing activities. The role requires good communication, basic math, legible handwriting, and excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• Past experience in shipping/receiving in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• 1–2 years forklift experience desired.
• Must have good communication skills (simple math/write legibly).
• Previous bar-coding environment experience a plus.
• Must have excellent attendance.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends; flexible on hours.
• Must be team oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads freight following procedures; ensure products are moved physically and electronically.
• Completes physical movement to storage locations and updates electronic movement.
• Stacks and stores product in assigned Stockroom and Bin locations.
• Reviews orders shipping out by running reports and gathering needed product daily.
• Completes inbound and outbound shipments and reviews for damage and inaccuracies.
• Completes scrap conversions, shipping logs, BOLs and pick tickets.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and storage security.
• Operates forklift and maintains forklift log daily.
• Repacks finished goods as required.
• Coordinates with Purchasing on recycling tasks.
• Daily reviews orders shipping out and moves product as needed.
• Reviews shipments to avoid damage and inaccuracies.
• Maintains Min/Max stock quantities in warehouse.
• Complies with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads freight in an efficient and safe manner following all procedures and processes as required. Ensures that all products are physically and electronically moved.
• Completes the physical movement of product to storage locations while ensuring the electronic movement is done correctly.
• Efficiently stacking and storing product to the assigned Stockroom and Bin locations.
• Reviews the orders shipping out, by running reports and gathering product needed on a daily basis.
• Completes all inbound and outbound shipments. Works and reviews shipments to avoid damage and reduce inaccuracies.
• Completes scrap conversions, shipping logs, BOL’s and pick tickets.
• Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area; assists in maintaining the security of the storage areas.
• Safety Operates, maintains the forklift assigned; completes forklift log on a daily basis.
• Repacks finished goods as required.
• Coordinates with the Purchasing Department on recycling tasks.
• Daily reviews the orders shipping out, gathers/packages and moves product as needed.
• Reviews shipments to avoid damage and reduce inaccuracies.
• Maintains Min/Max stock qty’s in the warehouse
• Complies with the OSHA and MSDS standards.

• Experience in a fast pace manufacturing shipping facility.
• 1 to 2 years forklift experience desired
• Must have good communication skills (Simple math/Write legibly).

• Computer literacy, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook desired
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
• Must be flexible on working hours during heavy business days
• Must be team oriented and be able to work independently

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $41,620 USD - $48,048 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
