Job summary

Kampa Management LLC is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker to perform repairs and replacements across apartment communities. You will handle electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks in both vacant and occupied units, while maintaining thorough records of time and materials used.

The role requires adherence to safety programs, the ability to work independently, and active participation in on-call emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and repairs in apartment communities.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair/replace electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance items in vacant and occupied apartments and common areas.
• Keep accurate daily records of work orders, time, and materials.
• Comply with safety programs and procedures; inform supervisor of stock needs for repairs.
• Ensure all areas are secure when not in use; participate in on-call emergencies.
• Understand and comply with fair housing laws; follow supervisor directions.

General: All below including but not limited to:

• perform repairs/replacements on electrical, plumbing and general maintenance items in vacant and occupied apartments and general areas of apartment community
• keep daily accurate records on work orders, noting all time and materials utilized during performance of work
• comply with standard safety programs and procedures
• inform supervisor in writing of stock that needs to be ordered for repairs of vacant and occupied apartments
• make sure all areas are secure when not in use
• active participation in on-call schedule for emergencies –see on call section of policy
• understanding and compliance with fair housing laws
• follow direction
• anything related to the above items as assigned by supervisor.

PREREQUISITES:

• acceptable criminal record check/bondable
• mechanically inclined
• ability to perform the essential physical qualifications
• ability to follow direction and task completion

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• ability to exercise good judgment and self-control
• enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty
