Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6–12 months of hands-on maintenance or mechanical trade experience.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or equipment manuals.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Basic computer literacy for entering work orders and PM records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on CNC machines, presses, conveyors, and support equipment per established PM schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Respond to machine downtime calls promptly and assist in root‑cause troubleshooting to minimize production interruption.
  • Assist with installation, alignment, and setup of new or relocated equipment.
  • Maintain facility systems including lighting, HVAC support, compressed air, and general building upkeep.
  • Support inventory control for spare parts and maintenance supplies; flag reorder needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and general shop safety procedures without exception.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area consistent with 5S standards.
  • Assist skilled trades (electricians, millwrights, HVAC techs) on larger repair or installation projects as needed.
  • Escalate issues beyond current skill level to senior maintenance staff in a timely manner.
