Job summary

Saddle Creek Logistics Services seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to handle electrical trouble shooting and mechanical maintenance. Five years of packaging and equipment maintenance experience with emphasis on electrical installation and PLC knowledge is required.

The role covers installing machines, wiring, and troubleshooting to component level, plus preventive maintenance across conveyors, robotics, and related packaging systems. 2nd shift with potential OT is available.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with emphasis on electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers.
  • Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading preferred.
  • Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required.

Responsibilities

  • Install machines and perform control wiring installations and troubleshooting to the component level.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (not programming) and anchor equipment.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate conductors.
  • Maintain conveyors, robotics, and packaging equipment; perform preventive maintenance and rebuilds.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician position will require electrical trouble shooting skills as well as an experienced mechanical aptitude.We are seeking qualified candidates with five years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation, PLC knowledge, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Schedule:2nd shift; 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (possible OT during the week)
Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for but is not limited to machine installation, control wiring installations and troubleshooting to the component level, PLC understanding and troubleshooting skills (not programming), anchoring equipment, running conduit, pulling wire, termination of conductors, maintenance and rebuilding of equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and other routine maintenance duties.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma required
  • 5 years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation and experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in the following areas: conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers required
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment preferred
  • Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading preferred
  • Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to use basic electrical test instruments to include VOM multi-meter, clamp on ampere meter, and other basic test instruments
  • Ability to troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes as well as how they relate to the PLC operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves
  • Ability to maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels
