Job summary

R&L Spring Company in Lake Geneva, WI is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems while keeping operations safe and efficient.

This full-time role requires 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance, experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and reading schematics. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, install equipment, and support building systems in a clean, team-focused facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (3-5 years preferred).
  • PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Electric motors and motor controls.
  • Mechanical equipment and power transmission systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to safely work on equipment up to 480V.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic computer skills and experience maintaining maintenance records.
  • PLC, motor, and controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Diagnose issues with motors, controls, sensors, drives, and automation systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Install, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Support facility and building maintenance activities, including utility systems, equipment support, preventive maintenance, and general infrastructure upkeep
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
  • Assist with equipment installations, moves, and basic welding/fabrication projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

What You'll Do
