Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our retail stores, donation centers, warehouses, and administrative buildings safe and welcoming. You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep while traveling between locations in the Tri-Cities region.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in facility maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical work.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs in a timely manner.
• Travel between multiple Goodwill locations as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical work
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs in a timely manner
• Safely operate tools, equipment, vehicles, and material handling equipment
• Assist with construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects
• Maintain grounds and support overall facility appearance and safety
• Coordinate materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance work
• Follow OSHA safety standards and Goodwill safety procedures
• Travel between multiple Goodwill locations as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external customers

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, construction, or a skilled trade preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
• Must meet Goodwill insurability requirements to operate company vehicles
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and building systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and conditions
