ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician for our Kent, WA facility. This on-site role maintains plant equipment to minimize downtime, supports safety projects, and ensures production readiness.

With 3+ years in industrial maintenance and experience with CNC/laser equipment, hydraulics, and PLCs, you will repair, install, and improve equipment while upholding safety guidelines and governance policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with CNC punching machines, lasers, forming presses, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming with RSLogix.
• Experience reading electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on machinery and equipment as well as building structures.
• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install new equipment, ensuring production readiness and safety compliance.
• Perform basic electrical work.
• Support safety and improvement projects and after-hours guidance.

ASSA ABLOY is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Northwest Service Center. This will be an on-site role based out of our Kent, WA manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Maintenance Technician?

You will make sure that all plant equipment is maintained and in good operating condition to minimize downtime, optimize production, and ensure that it’s a safe working environment for everyone.

You would also:

• Perform required maintenance and repair on all machinery and equipment as well as building structure
• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and perform planned maintenance of all mechanical aspects of plant, office, machinery and equipment
• Adjust and repair clutches, brakes, lubricating systems, paint systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps
• Install new equipment as needed, ensuring it is production ready and meets all safety guidelines
• Perform basic electrical work
• Actively work and participate on safety and improvement projects
• Be able to provide after-hours support and guidance to the maintenance and engineering teams.
• Perform special assignments and projects as assigned
• Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
• Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

The Skills and Experience you need

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Completion of a Technical School program and/or a certification of an Industrial Maintenance program preferred
• 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience required
• Previous experience or working knowledge of CNC punching machines, lasers, forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming with RS logic control
• Previous experience/exposure to reading schematics and drawings. Specifically, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
• Ability to understand mechanical concepts and reason out solutions to problems
• Previous experience using a work order system
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities

Pay rate is $32.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience.
